In the art room..

Hi there, it's been a few days. I've been quite productive lately. Lots going on and enjoying it.
The piece I am sharing with you today is for my Word Art Wednesday challenge. The Word Art, which is free for you to use is from 1 Samuel 1:27, I prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him.
I have two handsome sons both unique in their own special way and I feel truly blessed to have the chance to be their momma. I've made a lot of mistakes along the way and will make more. I am still learning and hope they know how much I love them.

I love this vintage image and how the momma is looking at her baby with such love. The flowers are made of fabric and if you don't know how to make them you can do a Youtube/Google search for fabric flower tutorials and will get quite a few. The background is of paper, paint and stamping. I spritzed it with some pink shimmer mist and made the bead spray that's tucked into the flowers.

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!

This is gorgeous! Love you post about your sons and being mom. None of us are perfect and admitting it is the biggest thing we can do.

And again, such a lovely piece of art. Love the colors, the flowers, the stamping and the image.

Sweet Cassandra, don't beat yourself up for not being the best mom. God gave you your sons and your sons to you. So that's the perfect match, for my opinion ;) You are doing the best you can, and that's good enough!

Big hugg!!

This is just beautiful Cassandra, as always. Your art is always an inspiration to me, and I love the scripture you chose. Thanks for linking this to Scripture Thursday.

I think as moms we all have things we wish we'd done differently. The important thing is your sons know you love them unconditionally. ~ Abby

Shabby chic & I like it! The photo is a sweet one. I bet your a great Mom! Don't be too hard on yourself. My son ended up great & I made tons of mistakes! God somehow covers up our mistakes & molds & shapes our children himself.
Wish I was going to your Goodwill-I'd be buying your creations & wonder what crazy person would give up some wonderful art! LOL

I love the vintage look of this, Cassandra -- and the depth to which the viewer's eyes are drawn. It's like we're peeking into a window where that mom and baby are really sitting :)

Morning Cassandra! This is so beautiful and you do vintage so well!! Very lovely, love the fabric roses, and the colors are wonderful. I think we all feel the same way about being a mama--there's always things we could improve on. We can't change the past but learn from it and make today the best it can be. God is so good and gives us each day anew... and gives us mercy for the past. Thanks goodness each day gives us new opportunities eh? Thank you for a wonderful challenge this week. It given me a chance to reflect on the girls God's given me to raise. Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Kris

This is so beautiful and lovely...your fabric roses add so much, I may have to learn how to do those!! Yes, we as moms make mistakes, and God gives us grace. Just remember to apologize when you have messed up...and not to let a wall build between you and your child. Love your art and thanks so much for joining us this week at Stampin' Sisters in Christ this week!!
